The Miles of Smiles Appeal was launched through Chronicle Newspapers in Chester in 1992 to send sick, disabled and under-privileged children from Chester and district, Wirral and North Wales on the trip of a lifetime.

Over the past 18 years a dedicated Committee of volunteers together with an army of Individuals, groups, organisations and businesses have helped raise over £800,000 to help make dreams come true for hundreds of families. As well as funding annual trips to Disneyland Paris and Lapland we have supported other local Charities and special schools and helped change many lives for the better.

We know from all the feedback that we receive that the trips are something these children benefit from greatly and remember forever. We are very proud of the work we do, but it is entirely due to the generosity of individuals, groups, associations and businesses that year after year do all sorts of weird and wonderful things to raise funds for the appeal.

Everyone involved in the Appeal works entirely on a voluntary basis so every penny donated or raised goes directly towards the next Disneyland Paris Trip.
